Marilyn and Glenn would like to welcome you to their waterfront home, overlooking the spectacular beach at Rocky Point in Nanaimo, BC.
The McKnight’s are long time Vancouver Island residents. Retirement led to the creation of their dream home and, after years of planning, the happy couple realized their dream of opening a bed & breakfast.
Marilyn grew up in Nanaimo and was as an avid young figure skater who became a passionate coach. In a 25 year career she helped shape the lives of hundreds of BC children. She can list Olympians among her students, but took the most joy out of seeing young skaters grow into successful adults!
Marilyn is an exceptional hostess, a gourmet chef, avid gardener, enthusiastic traveler and an energetic, positive wife/mother/grandmother/sister/friend to all those in her life.
Glenn grew up in Kamloops before moving to Vancouver to complete his Engineering degree at the University of British Columbia. A job with MacMillan Bloedel brought him to Nanaimo, where he met and married Marilyn. Career stops in Powell River, Port Alberni and Vancouver led to many experiences, even work in Iran, before retirement brought forth new directions. His current passions are wine making (and tasting!), shaping his bonsai’s, bread baking, travel and trying to create the perfect shot of espresso. He always has a project (or six) on the go…preferably those he can diagram beforehand. Once an engineer, always an engineer!
